Geoff Smith
I became an Auctioneer in 1981, and my broker's license followed in 1984. Auctioneering has been a large part of the last 24 years. I retired in 2003 after 33 years of teaching. One of the extra benefits auctioneering has provided is the opportunity to be involved in community affairs. We have been able to help raise funds for Riley Hospital, Indiana Make-A-Wish, Boys and Girls Club, local fire departments, schools, and individuals in need. We have truly enjoyed the opportunity of serving clients from Evansville to Chicago. Personal service has been important in making each auction unique for our clients and friends. I received my first auctioneer license in 1978 when I was teaching agriculture and farming. I thought that doing 4-h livestock auctions would be fun. I received my broker's license in 1984. After 27 years, I have left the classroom but am still involved in education as Superintendent of Delphi School Corporation. Auctioneering still holds the same enjoyment for me as it did in the beginning. Geoff Smith and I came together in the early 80's. I enjoy auctioneering with him as he is one of my best friends. I look forward to providing service to our clients and meeting new bidders at each auction. License # AU01030026
